COVID-19 FAQs
There is no guarantee that the spring semester will present different conditions. We believe students will be searching for meaningful connections in the fall and 22% of our students in the past have found a sense of mattering and belonging through membership in our 48 organizations. The opportunity to build relationships, to develop leaders, and make contributions to things bigger than ourselves are foundational elements of this experience. While students may choose to join at a later time, many choose those opportunities in the fall.
Organizations have planned recruitment events that include virtual and hybrid options. We support and coach student leaders and members to align with campus expectations to strictly adhere to the Volunteer Commitment, all campus guidelines on face coverings, physical distancing, and additional measures designed to keep students safe. What actions do new members and chapter members need to take for the health of the campus community?
We will encourage groups to lean into positive emotional connection and engagement in their new member education plans, as well as sisterhood and brotherhood activities. We will also highlight and share resources from the national organizations and the campus with our community.
