Congratulations to all the IFC and Panhellenic New Members and organizations on recruitment! The Center for Health Education and Wellness (CHEW) is gearing up for the start to a great year! In August, CHEW provided information to the IFC New Members about alcohol and other drugs as well as how to be an active bystander. We look forward to our continued partnership with all the councils within the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life!
You are in the Red Zone. The Red Zone is a term used to describe a time period in the fall semester when students are statistically more at risk for sexual assault. You are in the Red Zone, which lasts from the start of school until Thanksgiving break. Thank you to all of the Greek students who participated in our two August events and remember to wear your Consent shirts on T-Shirt Tuesdays. We will have three more Red Zone events in September:
– Monday, September 10
– Monday, September 17
– Monday, September 24
Follow us @volshelpvols on Twitter to find out where we will be each Monday! Learn more about the Red Zone at wellness.utk.edu.
