Delta Gamma

“We want to give a big thank you to everyone who participated in our philanthropy day, Fight for Sight!” Delta Gamma’s national philanthropy is Service for Sight and works to benefit those that are visually impaired. Locally, they work closely with Club VIBES (Visually Impaired/Blind Enhancement Services). Club VIBES pushes their members to stay physically active, and one of their main ways of achieving this goal is by tandem biking together! Through a fundraising push, Delta Gamma was able to raise over $3,000 and the number is still rising! With this money, they will purchase a new tandem bike for Club VIBES (tandem bikes sell for around $5,000)! They also offered free eye exams during Fight for Sight and were able to assist 63 people.

Delta Gamma also held a “card making party” at their chapter house to make St. Patrick’s Day cards for Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Their volunteer work with Morning Pointe is encouraged by the Golden Anchor Program, a branch of their national philanthropy, Service for Sight. Through this program, Delta Gammas assist senior citizens who reside in health care facilities throughout the United States and Canada.
