Zeta Phi Beta Fall Festival

The Pi Epsilon Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the New Hope Church held a fall fest at Vine Middle School for families in the area. The fall fest coordinators, Soror Brielyn Rogers and Soror Kristen Jaggers, worked for a month to get everything ready and make sure that all of the games and food were of great enjoyment for the families. In addition to the Pi Epsilon Chapter members and the New Hope Church members, some students from the University of Tennessee also attended and volunteered their time at some of the game stations. The fall fest had various games, free food, a costume contest, face painting, dancing, and free candy. Games included ring toss, big connect four, corn sack, and pin the nose of the pumpkin. The children and some of the volunteers came dressed to impress. Among the costumes were various superheroes, a hotdog, Michael Jackson, and many more. A young girl dressed up as a lamb took home the trophy for the best costume. There were many times where the attendees and volunteers stopped what they were doing to join in together for the cha-cha slide, the wobble, and juju on that beat. At one point, a limbo line broke out during the event, which co-coordinator, Soror Brielyn Rogers, won. The families had a great time and it was a great way to pull the community together. They hope to have this event again in the future.
