IFC Recruitment

IFC fraternities admit new members into their organization through Recruitment Week, also known as “Rush.” This week, typically occurring at the beginning of each semester, begins with a required orientation for potential new members and a chance to meet representatives from each chapter. The week continues with open houses, an informal invitation night, a formal invitation night, and concludes with Bid Day. There is a $40 registration fee for IFC recruitment.

IFC Membership Requirements

  • Be enrolled at UT as a full-time student
    • Students in the Volunteer Bridge Program are not eligible to join a fraternity
  • Have a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Be in good standing with the university
